Reflection on Last Week’s Strategy

I shared last week that I would like to drink more water on a daily basis. I carried around my water bottle and challenged myself to drink three bottles of water a day. Throughout the work week, I found this strategy to be quite successful but I let my water drinking habit slide on the weekend. I will have to be more diligent with my water consumption on the weekends in order to be successful in this life-improving strategy.

This Week’s Strategy

I am usually very neat and organized but these first few months of my pregnancy were so tiring that I have let my home get cluttered and disorganized.

About a year ago I borrowed a great book from the library entitled, 30 Days to a Simpler Life by Connie Cox and Chris Evatt. This book really assisted me in getting my home and life organized. My strategy for the week includes a suggestion from this book. This week I will clean one drawer or closet a day. I need a strategy like this; otherwise I get carried away, do a massive clean-up, but then lose enthusiasm to continue my cleaning/organizing schedule on subsequent days.

This strategy is especially important because we are preparing to move our office into the basement so that we have a bedroom available for the baby. There are a lot of drawers that need to be cleaned out and condensed in our office space… it will be a big task but it’s necessary!

Please feel free to comment if the strategy for the week inspires you as well. Also, comments or suggestions to help me meet my goal are greatly appreciated.  In the meantime, I would like to wish you a wonderful week.
