COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

THE DELIBERATE MOM may collect and use various kinds of personal information. Personal information is any information that is identifiable with you as an individual. It does not include anonymized (anonymous) data. Personal information we collect includes:

  • information about purchases of our products through GUMROAD, including your name and email address (all of your purchase details such as your method of payment, etc. is held in the GUMROAD database and we have no knowledge of, or access to those details);

HOW DATA IS COLLECTED

COMMENTS

If you comment on a post, we do NOT use the personal information you submit to send you anything and we do not sell or give away your information.

The comment you submit within the comment box in a post on THE DELIBERATE MOM is NOT private or confidential. While the email is NEVER shared or disclosed, the name you choose to submit, the URL you share, and the comment you make is public and is not protected. If you discuss your personal situation(s) through use of this site or by any one of our social media sites, please be aware that your statements and the facts contained therein are public.

When you submit a comment, the following information is stored in our database:

  • The name you provide (whether real or a pseudonym)

NEWSLETTER SIGNUP

We use MailerLite to manage our email marketing subscriber list and to send emails to our subscribers. MailerLite is a third-party provider, which may process your data using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our newsletter.

When you sign up, you consent to providing your email address in order for us to communicate with you.

Communication can consist of:

  • Newsletters

  • Notifications of sales & deals

In an effort to keep your data safe and at a minimum, we only ever request your email to sign up for our newsletter. We don’t request that you provide a name. Your email will be used as the means to contact you.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. Unsubscribe links are at the bottom of every newsletter.

Once again we would NEVER sell or give away your information.

CAN-SPAM COMPLIANCE  

In compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act, all e-mail sent from us will clearly state who the e-mail is from and will provide clear information on how to contact the sender. In addition, all e-mail messages will also contain concise information on how to remove yourself from our mailing list so that you receive no further e-mail communication from us.

GOOGLE ANALYTICS

Like many other websites, THE DELIBERATE MOM makes use of log files. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol ( IP ) addresses, type of browser, Internet Service Provider ( ISP ), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, country of residence, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement around the site, and gather demographic information. IP addresses, and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.

THE DELIBERATE MOM site does NOT store the information collected by these programs in a separate database and it does NOT sell or give away this information.

The information collected by these programs is not separately aggregated in any database with any personal information, such as your name, e-mail address, IP address, or specific location.

We may be required to report summarized data to programs we are working with. The data disclosed is often our total page view counts, number of unique visitors, number of sessions, and/or bounce rates. This is usually a screen shot of our Google Analytics dashboard and only contains summarized totals from our website and has no identifiers on it (other than our website’s name).

If you wish to have your data excluded from Google Analytics, there is a way to opt-out if you install this Google Analytics browser extension.
