These moments are fleeting, these moments are mine,
These moments are glimpses, snapshots in time.
I wish to breathe them, to drink them all in.
These moments are where my memories begin.
~ The Deliberate Mom ~

Bike lessons
Hoofed friends
First roller coaster ride
Hanging out with the clouds
Babysitting a gecko
Garage sale earnings

Family Outing
A visit with my grandma
What an awesome month full of fun moments! Wishing you a lovely weekend!
Love that you end each month with a post of your favorite moments! Following your lead this month though it’s a few of my favorite moments from the beginning of our trip to Florida!

Have a wonderful weekend! xo
I love looking back at the month and seeing what we’ve done and experienced.
Thanks for sharing and for stopping by Shel!
Wishing you a lovely weekend as well.

What great pictures and some lovely memories, indeed!
It was a beautiful month Lisa. Although it has me wishing that summer could last just a little bit longer.
Wishing you a lovely weekend!
aww, these are really beautiful memories! the horse and roller coaster moments must have been real fun! and its so great that you got to hang with your grandma. so precious, these memories. :)
We certainly have had some wonderful and fun moments this past month! My grandma is amazing… a 97-year-old little spark plug!
Blessings to you my friend!
I just love love love that bike picture. Cracks me up every time. And the one of the fair and the clouds is so pretty. I hope September brings some more fun and great memories with it!
The bike picture makes me giggle too. Plus the demonstration did nothing to teach her how to ride a bike… but it was fun!
Wonderful moments. I love summer/fall fairs and kid roller coasters!
I confess I was really confused by your garage sale earnings, until I remember you live in Canada! I thought it was play money! Funny, right?
In reality, that’s the America dollar..
Hilarious. Yes, when I see American money, I think “play money”. We have very pretty money here.
What beautiful photos Jen! I love the one of the first roller coaster ride!
Thanks Misty! She had been talking of going on a roller coaster ride for months. It was exciting for all of us that she got to finally go on one!
That photo of your girls hugging….Just so precious! And the roller coaster. It really looks like they loved it. Great moments you captured this month Jennifer.
Our state fair starts next week and I can’t wait to take Little A on some rides. Last year she could only go on one or 2.
Have a great weekend!
xoxo
I love that photo too. When they’re affectionate, it just makes my heart pitter patter!
Wishing you a lovely weekend as well my friend. I’ll be busy playing catch-up since I was dealing with blog issues all week. Now I have to go visit my friends… you included! Although I do plan on having some fun and relaxation this long weekend too.
xoxo
What a fun month!!!! That looks like a fun festival!! Beautiful clouds!
It was a wonderful month! The fair was amazing! I thought the clouds looked gorgeous as I “flew” up there with them.
Hi Jennifer! That photo of the clouds at the fair is spectacular! Were you in a building up high? Really pretty. And I love the ‘sisters’ one, and you and your Grandma. What a wonderful month, and what a great idea to remember it in pictures.
I can’t believe we’re going into September. Isn’t that crazy? School will start soon for you, and the leaves will start changing. I love all of that (fall is my favorite season), but it’s nice to hold on to the lazy days of summer!
Have a good weekend :)
Ceil
Hi Ceil! I was actually on the Ferris Wheel with my oldest daughter when I snapped that picture. I loved how it turned out… so colourful and the clouds look extra fluffy!
It was a wonderful month. I love fall too but I still wish I could hang onto summer a little bit longer.
Wishing you a lovely weekend as well.
I read your post with a smile and a tear. Very touching! You certainly made some wonderful memories with your beautiful family xo
We did have a wonderful month Susen. I love reflecting on all the special moments… big and small.
So many cool moments! I loooove roller coasters and I can imagine the excitement. :)
I love the idea of wrapping up a month with pictures. I might have to steal it (if you don’t mind).
And the gecko is so cool! We have them in Costa Rica but I’ve never seen such a cool one.
We had such a lovely time at the fair. My daughter had been talking about wanting to go on a roller coaster for months. To be able to see her take that first roller coaster ride was awesome… very much a moment I won’t forget!
When we went to Hawaii, we saw many geckos but none like this one either.
You should wrap up the month with photos! It’s a wonderful way of documenting the joys and memories of the month.
What a special way to look back on each month! These will probably be some of your favorite posts someday! :)
I used to do them weekly but I like the monthly wrap up better. Definitely some lovely memories!
Beautiful photos and I love that poem that you wrote at the beginning. Your girls have the SWEETEST faces, I love when you share photos of them. Love that bike photo too, haha! Looks like you guys had a great month.
Thanks Jessica. I’m a little shy when it comes to poetry but I like to write it. Glad you enjoyed the poem.
We had a beautiful month. I can’t believe it’s September! Kind of shocked!
I’ve always been a big fan of your “This Moment” posts on Fridays and was sad to see them go. But I actually like this monthly summary better!!! It’s fun to see a month of highlights and that photo of you w/your grandma is too precious.
I like the monthly summary as well. Reflecting on the week was nice but this monthly summary has been more fun than a chore.
I love that picture of me and my grandma. Would you believe she turns 98 in January?! Plus she’s still got her mind… which is amazing for someone at her age. To think she was only one pound when she was born (she was very premature) and the midwife and nurse didn’t think she would survive. Just look at her outliving those naysayers!
98!?! When is her birthday?! I’m a January baby so I’m always curious when a Jan. birthday is mentioned. SHE WEIGHED ONE POUND JENNIFER?! Wow. That’s a miracle and even more of a reason to celebrate her life every day! So she’s 97 right now…I’m blown away. You’re so lucky to be able to see her and spend time with her. She is a gift to be cherished!
Her birthday is January 29th. My oldest daughter’s birthday is January 7th and our wedding anniversary is January 20th. January is a busy month for us! When’s your birthday?
I wrote a brief blurb about her 95th birthday a couple years ago, you could check it out here if you’re interested….

I never tire of the story of my grandma’s miraculous birth. She defied all odds.
I’m January 5th so your daughter is the closest! Dang! January is a busy month for you!
