WEEK 1
MONDAY
- Read: My Many Colored Days
- Practice writing the number eleven
- Watch and do the “N” video on Starfall (need a computer with flash and a mouse for the free version)
TUESDAY
- Fill out this feelings booklet
- Make pink playdough together
- Provide “N” playdough placemat and make a “N” shape (download is in the Subscriber Library)
WEDNESDAY
- Read: The Way I Feel
- Play feelings memory with these cards
- Write the letter “N” and add it to our alphabet book
THURSDAY
- Watch and sing along to: The Feelings Song
- Field trip to buy ingredients for our recipe
- Make Pizza Faces
FRIDAY
- Read: In My Heart: A Book of Feelings
- Action rhyme: Feeling Fine by Dr. Jean
- Paint how you’re feeling
WEEK 2
MONDAY
- Read: Guess How Much I Love You
- Practice writing the number 11
- Watch and do the “O” video on Starfall (need a computer with flash and a mouse for the free version)
TUESDAY
- Make purple playdough together
- Provide “O” playdough placemat and make a “O” shape (download is in the Subscriber Library)
- Set out materials to make Valentine Cards
WEDNESDAY
- Read: I Love You Forever
- Write the letter “O” and add it to our alphabet book
- Make these woven paper hearts (can also be done with felt)
THURSDAY
- Sing and do actions to Skinnamarink
- Field trip to buy ingredients for our recipe
- Make these Heart Apple Sandwiches
FRIDAY
- Read: Snuggle Puppy
- Set up a “post office” for dramatic play
- Play this Musical Hearts game

MONDAY
- Read: Happy Valentine’s Day Curious George
- Watch and do the “P” video on Starfall (need a computer with flash and a mouse for the free version)
- Practice writing the number 12
TUESDAY
- Field trip to buy ingredients for our recipe
- Make and decorate Valentine’s cupcakes or cookies
- Exchange Valentine’s cards
WEDNESDAY
- Read: Because Brian Hugged His Mother
- Choose some acts of kindness to do in our community
THURSDAY
- Make pink playdough together
- Provide “P” playdough placemat and make a “P” shape (download is in the Subscriber Library)
- Write the letter “P” and add it to our alphabet book
FRIDAY
- Read: The Giving Tree
- Make “I can give” trees and write what we can give
WEEK 4
MONDAY
- Read: How Full is Your Bucket
- Play with water, rocks, and buckets
- Practice writing the number 12
TUESDAY
- Make purple playdough together
- Practice making letters out of playdough
- Practice writing some of the letters we’ve learned
WEDNESDAY
- Read: Last Stop on Market Street
- Trace child’s hand, write how they can help on the hand
THURSDAY
- Field trip to the grocery store
- Select and donate food items to the food bank
- Make these Broccoli Baked Potatoes
FRIDAY
- Read: We All Sing With the Same Voice
- Have a scavenger hunt for kindness hearts hidden around the house
