We’re celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday by collecting postcards from across Canada! We would love for you to participate! Send your postcard and be included on our virtual thank you card!
This July, Canada turns 150!
Wow!
Our country is young and beautiful!
I’ve been trying to think of ways to commemorate this occasion with my children (and also make it as educational as I can). So here’s what we’re doing: A “tour” of Canada!
We would love your help!
I was inspired by this post on Kid’s Activities Blog and we’re doing something similar.
We would like to collect postcards from cities and provinces across Canada and hear what you LOVE about Canada. When each postcard comes in, we’ll document and research where it came from and mark it on our own Canadian map!
We are hoping for 150 postcards by July 1, 2017! This is an ambitious goal, so feel free to share this post with your family and friends!
This #homeschool family is collecting 150 postcards from across #Canada! Join in the fun! Share on XIf you mail in a postcard, we’ll add you to our virtual thank you card, listing your name(s) and the city from which your postcard came. If you’re a fellow blogger, we invite you to write the URL of your website on the postcard, and we’ll make sure to include the hyperlink back to your site on our virtual thank you card.
Our little family loves Canada Day! Can you tell?
Also, we may select some of our favourite “Happy Birthday Canada” messages for an upcoming post.
Are you excited? We are!
Here’s where you can mail your postcards (my website’s business address):

Yay! I’m so excited to see your postcard Margaret!
what… we don’t get a real card back? :) boy that would get expensive if you did.
We’ll send you one.
Yay! We would love to receive a postcard from you Annette! Yes, it would be expensive if we mailed a postcard back to everyone who participated (hence the idea of a virtual thank-you card)!
I will send some postcards from New Brunswick!!!
That would be awesome Margaret! We haven’t gotten any postcards from New Brunswick yet either! Maybe yours will be the first!
Sending one from Nova Scotia – my friend Jody Snortland in Yellowknife told me about your project and I was delighted to contribute :-)
We would love to get a postcard from you! Thank you Alasdair!
What a fun idea! Would you find value in getting a postcard from close to home? I’m in Fort McMurray.
A postcard from Fort McMurray would be wonderful!! Please do send us one. :)
