Yesterday was my youngest daughter’s second birthday. Here are a few pictures from the day.
We set up the kitchen table in anticipation of the festivities. The birthday tablecloth was set out and signed, the candles on the Waldorf birthday ring were lit, and the gifts were arranged… ready to be discovered.
She loved the homemade cards made by our family friends.
My little girl seemed to like the quiet book I made for her. She definitely loves the owl cover but she especially enjoys the zipping page.
We gave her a tricycle for her birthday. Both of the girls took turns riding it.
Instinctively, my youngest seemed to know to stand on the back of the bike and hold on while her sister did the pedaling.
We took a trip to the zoo. The birthday girl enjoyed petting the sheep.
After a lengthy afternoon nap, we ate her favourite meal, beans on toast. We went for a walk after dinner.
When we returned home we enjoyed some delicious chocolate cupcakes.
It was such a lovely day for my little girl. It seems just yesterday I met this wonderful little person. She keeps us laughing, smiling, and has blessed us with the gift of seeing the world through the eyes of a child. Every day is a new adventure with opportunities to explore and discover.
Happy birthday! Great way to spend a 2nd birthday!
aww! you are beyond creative, I love it. I also think it’s cute you go for family walks. They grow up too quick!
Happy Birthday to your sweet girl!
What a marvelous day! I have to ask…because of the way you spelled favourite…are you not in the United States? I just assumed you were. :)
Or maybe your from somewhere else? Or maybe you’re just fancy? Or maybe I just stupid for asking! :)
I can’t stand to see that I used the wrong “your.” So I must comment to ask correctly…or maybe you’re from somewhere else?
LOL – this series of comments made me laugh. I’m Canadian… and up here we spell it favourite (and spell check hates me for it).
What a fun birthday! And I love her crown!
As for my flip flops…I should be getting them back tomorrow or Wednesday!
Happy birthday to your little one!!! :-)
A marvelous day! WE both have little July birthday kiddos. :)
What a sweetheart! Looks like a perfect way to celebrate being 2. Love the pic of the sisters on the bike.
