If you follow me on social media, you are fully aware that my oldest daughter is obsessed with getting a Golden Retriever puppy. You are probably also aware that we’ve made it very clear that our current dog is our last dog. Despite our talks with her, she is persistent.
She has forged letters in an effort to get a dog
She has tried to impress us with her knowledge of elemental symbols.
We have received propaganda notes on our bedside tables
She wants a Golden Retriever and we were in need of an intervention! Then PTPA and Hasbro gave us an opportunity to review the NEW FurReal Friends GoGo My Walkin’ Pup pet. This is EXACTLY what we needed!
About the FurReal Friends GoGo My Walkin’ Pet Pup
This one-of-a-kind toy is recommended for children 4 years and older. My youngest is almost 3 1/2 and I have no problems letting her play with the pup, as long as I’m supervising her. The pup is adorable with it’s big blue eyes and soft fur. It sits on four wheels so that it can move and has a leash that the child can hold. To make the pup walk, simply push the button on the leash and watch it go!
We especially love how she wags her tail as she walks. The pup even sits, barks, and sometimes howls.
The FurReal Friends GoGo My Walkin’ Pet requires 4C batteries. There is also a switch beneath it so that the toy can be turned off when not in use.
A girl’s best pet friend
As soon as my girls opened the box they were in love… so much so, that they named their new pet “Love”. This little pup brings life-like puppy play to children as she sits and speaks on command. She even comes when you call her, and wags her tail as she walks toward you. It’s no wonder my girls adore “Love”.
My oldest daughter was especially excited when she read on the instruction manual that her pet would react when another FurReal Friends pet is nearby. In fact, she has recommended we purchase Pom Pom My Baby Panda for her little sister as a Christmas gift so that the two pets can be friends and “play” with one another!
An app to go with it
For another unique way to play with the NEW FurReal Friends GoGo My Walkin’ Pup Pet, we downloaded the FurReal Friends app. This FREE app allows children the opportunity to virtually take care for their pet in multiple ways. They can feed their pet, walk their pet, play fetch, and they can even give their pet a makeover!
My girls especially love to give their puppy a makeover. The pet will also respond to the app with happy barks and movement.
Do you like your makeover Love?!
The app is available through the App Store and through Google Play. Even though the pet responds to the app, it is not required for operation of the pet.
#review If your child wants a dog, the #FurRealFriends GoGo My Walkin' Pet may be the answer! Click To TweetThe FurReal Friends GoGo My Walkin’ Pet Pup may have saved us from weeks, months, perhaps even years of our daughter begging for a dog. She adores her new pet, Love, and enjoys taking care of her. She walks Love on her remote control leash and pretends to feed it toy food. When we leave the house she reminds Love to behave and when she returns, she greets Love warmly.

Aweeee!! Cool!! Well, my dog that just passed away was a Golden Retriever…. best dog ever!! They are crazy hyper as a puppy, but sooooo darn cute, sweet, good and loving!!! As they grow, they mellow out so much and they are still all of the above!! I love that dog! Again, best dog ever :) They are so beautiful and smart! Cool toy!!!
Such a cute dog and totally should have gotten this dog not the real golden retriever, lol! Seriously, though my girls would love this and may have to look into this for Christmas for them. Thank you for sharing ;)
I’d give it to my nieces because they’d love it!
My kids already have one of these so I will give it to my nephew.
As for the Golden Retriever, I’m with your daughter on this one. My husband keeps saying/hoping/wishing/begging that our current two dogs will be our last but I can’t imagine life without one.

My daughter had one of these when she was younger and she absolutely loved it!
I remember you saying that you had this and was waiting to read your reviews on whether your kids loved it or not. My toddler loves it. She now pushes aside our real Shih-Tzu Gizmo and says “no momo, go go is mine”. She’s so cute when she says it. It sure helps them learn how to take care of the real thing through play, and no more dogs for us either. :)
My granddaughter had this and loved it. I would probably donate it if I won.
I would donate to our school’s Christmas toy drive because my kids are to big for that now and there are kids in need in our community that would love it
I had a golden lab called Bobbie as a kid. My Great granddaughter would love this.
so cute…my granddaughter would love it!
I would give it to my granddaughter. Like your daughter, she’s been dropping hints about getting a dog. This toy is exactly what she needs instead of the real dog.
Awesome review! Too bad I don’t live in Canada! Good luck to all of your entries!
My nephew would get such a kick out of it, so I’d give it to him. :)
I live in Seattle – can I drive to Van to pick it up?! :)
Good luck to all!
I would give this to my Grandson
Geez! Toys these days are on a whole new level! I love “Love” and I find your daughter’s persistence to be hysterical! The letter your husband left you LOL, that had me laughing so hard.
I would give it to my granddaughter as she loves puppies.
my daughter keeps asking for this
I would give this to my youngest daughter. She is an animal fanatic!
