Today I’m resurrecting something I used to do years ago. I’m bringing back the weekly ritual of sharing a treasured moment from the week.
As I shared recently, I’m missing the sentimental parts of this blog. I dropped the tradition of weekly photos because it wasn’t popular and it seemed redundant considering I have an Instagram account.
However, the thing I loved about these photo posts was that it had me thinking about a special moment from the week. This reflection helped me cherish all I have and all I’m thankful for.
The moments are raw, untouched, and perfectly imperfect. The photos aren’t about composition and may lack the best lighting, but they highlight something special. These moments are memories to treasure and memories can’t be staged.
This weekly photo ritual was inspired by the lovely SouleMama and used to be called {this moment}.
Today I’m beginning a new tradition of {deliberate moments}, an intentional pause and reflection on the goodness of life. If you would like to participate, I invite you to join in. You can share a link to your moment in the comments below and maybe enjoy someone else’s moment.
{deliberate moments: sunday sundaes}
A moment free of words. A moment of reflection. An intentional pause in the week to cherish the goodness of life.
“If we take care of the moments, the years will take care of themselves.” Maria Edgeworth
Wishing you a lovely weekend full of beautiful moments.
So special! We don’t do Sunday Sundaes, but we shall.
I hear you about all of it. Blogs are funny creatures – needing financial and emotional stimulation. I think we’re both good at knowing what we need!
Sunday sundaes are the best – I look forward to them all week. <3
