Tips to Make the Best Cinnamon Bun Iced Latte Recipe

The coffee:

Make sure you are using strong brewed coffee or espresso. I like to make cold brew and keep it in the fridge. A cold brew recipe will usually last me a few days (gives 3 servings for my Iced Cinnamon Bun Latte recipe).

I use this fantastic cold brew maker. It makes flawless cold brew every time and is very versatile.

The milk:

While this recipe can be made with any milk or milk alternative, I find that Oat Milk gives it the absolute BEST flavour. My preference is the Zero Sugar Earth’s Own Oat Milk.

The froth:

The secret to any cafe-inspired drink is a beautiful froth. I find the froth especially important when I’m not adding a topping (in this instance, when I’m not adding whipped cream). I use this hand-held frother when I’m in a rush. But the Keurig Milk Frother is simply amazing for making a substantial amount of froth.

The cup:

I love drinking a wonderful beverage out of a beautiful cup. When enjoying iced coffees, I find the large mason jar cups to be the best! They elevate the appearance of the drink and are delightful when you want to add a pretty touch to the rim of the glass.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make this cinnamon bun iced latte dairy-free?
Absolutely! As I mentioned, one of my favourite ways to make this drink is with oat milk! Just swap in your favourite non-dairy milk — soy milk and almond milk both work just as beautifully. You can also use a plant-based coffee creamer for extra richness.

Can I use a different sweetener instead of maple syrup?
Yes! Brown sugar or vanilla syrup would work well here. Just adjust to taste as some sweeteners are stronger than others.

Do I have to use espresso?
Nope! Strong brewed coffee or cold brew concentrate also works. The espresso just gives it that bold coffeehouse flavour.

How can I make it extra frothy and café-style?
Use a milk frother to mix your milk, cinnamon, and syrup before pouring it over the coffee. It adds the perfect creamy texture.

How many ice cubes should I use?
I usually do 5 or 6 iced cups but the amount is up to you!
