Remember how at the end of December I shared my to do list for 2014? Well I’m able to take one of those projects off of the list! I recovered our ottoman! The great thing about this project… I already had the fabric and the tacking staples! I didn’t have to spend any money to fix our ottoman… how awesome is that?!
Without further ado… I would like you to meet my ottoman.
I love the material you picked and it looks great!
Thanks Debby! I am thrilled with the results. The fabric really brightens up the space. I’m thinking I might buy some complimentary fabrics and make new pillow covers for our throw pillows (to incorporate the stool into the living room decor a little bit more).
Oh my goodness–this is just SO beautiful. Very nice job–I just love the fabric!
Thank you Mia! I can’t believe I had enough of this fabric leftover in my stash too. You can’t tell from the pictures but it’s a nice, heavy fabric which is perfect for upholstery!
Cute! I love the bright fabric you chose! You did an awesome job Jennifer! You should do a tutorial (I know I would use it). :)

Oh Tiffany, you’re too sweet. I doubt there would be a tutorial… as I am far from an expert. It’s like wrapping a gift but with fabric and tacking staples. I became obsessed with the underside looking nice, as I didn’t want someone to flip the stool over and see a fabric and stapled mess. I’m thinking once my youngest is a little older (and not as sloppy of an eater) I will recover our kitchen chairs. Maybe I’ll do a tutorial then (I’ll have four chairs to work on in order to perfect the process).
Wishing you a lovely day.
xoxo
Ditto on the tutorial, this looks great! Love the fabric.
PSH! Check you out cranking through that list! Great job, it looks fantastic and really spruces up a room. I love the legs on the Ottoman, great save!
Yeah…..high five to you Jennifer !!
Congrats on crossing something off your list already and recovering your ottoman with such awesome fabric. I love it. Great job.

Loving the recovered look. Love the design that you chose for it. That’s a really pretty pattern. I may have to get you to come and decorate for me. :)

Wow, what a difference! That is SO flippin cute! I love the fabric you picked out, it really makes the couch pop.
LOVE that fabric! How awesome are you?!?!
