These moments are fleeting, these moments are mine,
These moments are glimpses, snapshots in time.
I wish to breathe them, to drink them all in.
These moments are where my memories begin.
~ The Deliberate Mom ~
It’s the last Friday of November? I can’t believe it. I’m in as much shock as you! Of course this means it’s time to share a collection of my favourite moments from the month. There were so many memories made in the past month but here are the ones which I’m most excited to share with you today.
Beginning NaNoWriMo
Remembrance Day Ceremony
Losing Another Tooth
Magic Show
Retro Moments
Operation Christmas Child
Completing NaNoWriMo
Beautiful flowers from a beautiful friend
Wishing you a wonderful weekend and all the best in the coming month. December… wow!
HAH! The Sesame Street Saturday night Fever album cracked me up…but only because I just GOT that album. I wanted to relive the summer vacations when i traveled with my dad on the road. We listed to that on 8 Track Tape!
…ungh, I’m old.
Oh I remember the 8 tracks too! I remember our car having it. Then my mom got a new car a few years later with a cassette player and that was mind-blowing!
Very nice November memories! I am still impressed with your 50k words!
(PSSSST! Echo….)
(…she could have done 70K)
Very unlikely Jaime… very unlikely. 70K will come with my next book. Whoops. Did I just say that?!
HAH! I took a screen shot of that. Can’t back out now….
(muhaHAHAHAHA!!)
Noooooooo! I knew I shouldn’t have joked about that.
Thanks Echo! It was quite the month. I need to assume the recovery position… no, wait, never mind, we’re entering the holiday season so there’s no chance of recovery happening!
I have a ways to go before we lose our first tooth here but that is a great memory. I always knew that you would finish your book and probably could have written so much more. Here’s to an amazing weekend!
There is non-stop losing teeth moments over here! We may even have a little girl who will be wanting her two front teeth for Christmas.
Huge congrats on NaNoWriMo once again and I totally had that Sesame Street album as a kid. Not sure what happened to it, but totally brought back memories!! :)
Thanks so much Janine! I’m delighted that it’s done.
I love Sesame Street Fever. It’s one of our favourites… especially the Rubber Duckie Song!
Hi Jennifer! Hard to see how December is going to outrank November. Wow! Congrats again on your wonderful writing work. I am so proud of you. And the legacy of giving you are giving your children is such a beautiful thing. You inspire always :)
Blessings,
Ceil
November was pretty epic but I have a feeling December will be pretty fantastic too. There’s my 40th birthday, my brother’s birthday, Christmas and New Year’s Eve! So much happening!
Thank you for your kind words. I can only pray that I am blessing my children.
Lovely moments this month my dear. Love the retro record player. My parents still have all their old albums, but no player. I need to get my hands on one.
And once again, congrats on finishing the NaNoWriMo! You rocked it lady!
Have a great Sunday!
xoxo
It was a fabulous month!
I love that record player – it plays very well too. They have “new” retro record players – you should get your folks one for Christmas, birthday, anniversary?! They probably would love to play their records. There’s nothing like an LP.
I had that same record player as a kid! I love that your littles are enjoying it too! And we sent our first Operation Christmas Child box off this month too! Such fun!
I love sharing our retro toys with the kids (keeps me feeling young). Oh nostalgia!
We love doing the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. We do one every year.
Congrats on finishing the writing challenge, I can’t believe it’s over already. And to your precious one losing a tooth – they grow up too quickly don’t they?! Ready for December?
Thanks Kristen! It was a pretty epic month – that’s for sure.
Most likely her two front teeth will be missing for Christmas – they do grow so quickly.
December is a wonderfully eventful month for us! I celebrate my 40th, my brother’s birthday is 6 days later, then Christmas, then New Year’s Eve. Then we roll into the new year with my oldest daughter’s birthday, and our anniversary. I’ll breathe again in February.
Wishing you well.
YOU DID IT! Way to go! After reading your last comment I’m sending you some virtual energy to get through all of that!!
Thanks so much Mandy! Whew, yes I made it!
Oh yeah, I read that in the comments up there… Your next book – woohoo! What a wonderfully full month you had, Jennifer.
Ummm, there won’t be a next book for a looooooong time – I was kind of joking. I have to edit this one first and see how all THAT goes.
Hey, Jennifer,
What a beautiful collection of November memories – I think it’s wonderful that you have this series. What a blessing!
I clicked on the video, but guess that’s just an image, huh? Duh! LOL
Fresh flowers brighten any day (and any room,) and I especially enjoy them in the kitchen. :-)
Wow – how awesome to be teaching your child to give to others in need at Christmas time. That’s such a special memory you’re building for her.
Enjoyed your post, my friend, and hope you’re having a relaxing evening.
– Carol
I’m glad you enjoyed these snapshots of my life. I like looking back on every month and reminiscing about all that was good. Even on the “worst” months the good can always be found.
I’m so proud of you for dominating the 50k words and stringing them together to create a book! You’re amazing!
I love how one tooth lost has since become THREE teeth! LOL! That’s too cute. And I love the retro record player!
Thanks! I’m soooooo glad it’s over. I’m hoping come January I can get the gumption to edit the beast!
I love her toothless grin although it’s amazing how much teeth affect speech… today I’ve been frequently asking her… “WHAT did you say?” LOL – poor kid is starting to get annoyed with me.
