I sit here, knowing I should write something about this day… THE day that defines me as a Christian.
I can’t. There are no words to describe a love so great or a sacrifice so grand. There are no words in my vocabulary, no songs in my heart, no manner in which I can express what this day means to me. I type a few sentences and delete them… what I write is too cliche, too trite, and too simple.
So I pray a prayer of thankfulness and I hear a voice in my spirit….
I don’t need to find the words, He knows and that’s all He needs.
I reflect on when both of my daughters were born. Looking at them and seeing them for the first time… I knew those moments were a glimpse of what our heavenly father must feel for us.
I remember in those first moments, feeling a love so great and so powerful, it was both exhilarating and painful. To realize that our God loves us so much more than we can imagine and to realize that He made such a sacrifice so that we can be in His presence, is painfully beautiful.
For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead.
1 Corinthians 15:21 (ESV)
The man who brought death = Adam
The man who resurrected the dead = Jesus
The dead = you, me, everyone (we were dead in our sin)
May God bless you and your family this Easter. May this day remind you of the love our God has for you and may this day remind you that you are loved, you are treasured and you are His delight.

I too had trouble writing about this day. something so simple and profound as a Love Like That.
thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Blessings.
You’re welcome! It’s such a beautiful love… sometimes it’s hard to find the words. Bless you and wishing you a wonderful week!
I forgot to reflect on Easter… all the hype has gotten to me, that I focused more on Easter events than on its true meaning. It’s never too late to reflect and be grateful, right?
No, it’s never too late. I hope you had a lovely Easter. Bless you and your loved ones!
